Eastern Paris has taken on a new lease of life thanks to the Bastille Opera House, The Francoise Mitterand National Library and the Palais Omnisport at Bercy, the new venue for music and sport.
The Viaduc des Arts Arcades, a converted railway viaduct, invites you to window shop at exclusive arts and crafts galleries. Overhead, the old railroad tracks have now been replaced with a landscaped walkway. At the nearby Port Dorée is the musee des arts d'Afrique et d'Océanie, with its sculptures, masks and terrariums.
