A small, friendly, family-run hotel, the 3-star California stands in a level location in the centre of Albufeira well situated in a pedestrian street, with shops, restaurants, bars and discos nearby, and the Fisherman’s Beach only 200 yards away. There is a level walk of approximately 820 yards to join the bus for excursions.

- Take the A22 motorway or the N125 national road, and drive for about 35 km.
- Follow the signs to Albufeira (old centre, fishermen's beach).
- The hotel is situated in a pedestrian street (Candido dos Reis).
